Lydia Martin has been working as a freelance photographer in the UK and abroad for over five years.

She produces work for print and on-line resources, non-governmental organisations and government bodies and individuals including musicians and artists, as well as working on personal projects.

She first travelled to South Africa in 1998 and has been travelling and living on the continent since then, pursuing her interest in Africa and contemporary issues facing its people.

She also facilitates workshops for all ages in photography, creative writing and digital storytelling.
